Committee Jurisdiction: Primary jurisdictions are health care, health insurance, Medi-Cal and other public health care programs, mental health licensing of health and health-related professionals, and long-term health care facilities.
Important Information for witness and position letter guidelines.
- All witness testimony will be in person; there will be no phone testimony option for Health Committee hearings.
- Position letters are due the Wednesday before the hearing by noon.
- The Assembly Health Committee does not accept email or emailed letters on bills, to send a position letter or a message on a specific bill, use the green button "Submit Position Letter" above.
- Primary witnesses in support must be those accompanying the author or who otherwise have registered a support position with the committee, and the primary witnesses in opposition must have their oppose position registered with the committee. All other support and opposition can be stated at the standing mic when called upon to simply state name, affiliation, and position.
